Techniques and strategy for growing your medals efficiently
Basic Strategy
You start with 20 medals. Hitting 0 medals ends the game. Rather than betting everything on one big play, the basic strategy is to steadily grow your medals with small bets.
- Early on (races 1-10), keep it safe with 1-2 medal bets
- Once you top 50 medals, bump up to 3-5 medal bets
- Past 100 medals, consider a bigger play — but never bet it all
- Golden rule: never bet more than 20% of your total medals on a single race
Win
Predict which horse finishes 1st. Beginner-friendly. The odds are your payout multiplier as-is. Great for steadily growing medals with safe picks.
Quinella
Predict the 1st and 2nd place combination (order doesn't matter). Payout is the product of both horses' win odds. High payout potential, but harder to hit.
Exacta
Predict the exact 1st and 2nd place order. Hitting it triggers a Slot Bonus Chance — line up 777 for a massive payout!
Strategy by Running Style
Front runners have overwhelming early speed, but if a horse doesn't have enough stamina, it risks fading badly late in the race. When betting on a front runner, carefully judge whether it has the stamina to hold the lead all the way to the finish.
- A stamina-rich front runner → likely to wire the field and hold on; a solid favorite candidate
- A front runner with shaky stamina → factor in a late fade; depending on how the race unfolds, this could be a longshot play
Chasers show an incredible sprint on the final straight, but if a horse lacks Grit, it may not have enough left in the tank to hold on through the final push.
- Expect a strong closing kick from the final corner
- Quinella bets pairing two chasers tend to pay out well — a shot at a big score
Reading Odds and Marks

※ Some secret characters may not get a prediction mark, but that's actually proof they're unique horses with a running style all their own. They can trigger unexpected turns of the race, and hitting on them could lead to a big payout.
The "Past Results" shown next to each horse on the odds screen let you gauge that horse's consistency and true strength.
Display format: Past: [1st-2nd-3rd-Off the Board]
- 1st — Number of times this horse has finished 1st. The higher, the better its win rate — a top-pick candidate!
- 2nd — Number of times it has finished 2nd.
- 3rd — Number of times it has finished 3rd.
- Off the Board — Number of times it finished 4th or worse (outside the payout).
💡 Strategy Tip: A horse with a low "Off the Board" count and lots of 1st-3rd finishes has genuinely reliable strength. When aiming for a solid Quinella or Exacta, use these past results to pick your anchor and partner horses!
Weather and Special Event Countermeasures
Race weather can be sunny, cloudy, light rain, or heavy rain. Weather can also suddenly change mid-race.
- Sunny — Business as usual. Each horse's true strength shows through as-is
- Cloudy — No major effect, just a slight amount of wind influence
- Light/Heavy Rain — Managing stamina on a rough track matters — stamina-rich horses get an edge
Special events occur at random and can't be predicted. Keep the following in mind as a matter of mindset.
- Phoenix — A trailing horse (5th or lower) receives a powerful blessing and launches a blistering sprint! A shocking comeback from last place is possible
- Golden Peacock — The last-place horse pulls off a dramatic comeback. Raises hopes for a longshot horse
- Pheasant — The leading horse suddenly slows down. An upset that can hurt a heavy favorite
- UFO — Completely unpredictable outcome. Always play with the risk in mind
💡 Because special events exist, the single most important strategy is to never bet your entire fortune on one race.

Advanced Techniques
Both tipsters keep a track record of their hits. Check each one's Win/Quinella track record and follow whichever tipster is currently on a hot streak — a smart strategy.
- Tipster A is the data-driven type, picking favorites by odds — often gives safe, reliable picks
- Tipster B is the intuitive type, often pushing longshots — high payouts when right
- When both tipsters agree, that pick carries extra confidence
Hitting an Exacta (predicting the exact finishing order) triggers a Slot Bonus. Time your stops to line up "777" and win a massive medal bonus.
